Age Range: 9-17
Ability Level: Advanced, Expert
Time: 9 AM – 3 PM

This program is for athletes ready to level up. With coaching rooted in passion + precision, athletes train to compete in events such as Tahoe Race League, Far West, USASA, TJFS + IFSA Big Mountain. From GS / Slalom to Halfpipe, Slopestyle + Skier/Boarder Cross, each program builds the technical foundation and confidence to perform at a high level.

Many Sierra athletes have progressed to collegiate programs, U.S. Ski Team + the X Games, proof of the power of expert coaching and consistent development.

Programs Overview

Freestyle Ski + Snowboard

Athletes train to compete regionally + nationally in USASA events, developing their skills in Sierra’s terrain parks + freeride zones. Coaches prioritize safety, creativity + technical precision in the same program that launched Olympic Gold Medalists Maddie Bowman + Jamie Anderson.

Minimum Requirements: Comfortably ski or ride any terrain at Sierra, slide boxes, ride or ski switch on appropriate terrain + confidently land small to medium jumps.

Ski / Snowboard Cross

Athletes progress from USASA regional skier / snowboard cross competitions up through national events including USASA Nationals, Futures Tour + Rev Tour. Athletes train with expert coaches who focus on speed, strategy + technical precision in a competitive cross environment.

Minimum Requirements: Comfortably ski any terrain at Sierra and the desire to spend time training in a cross environment.

Snowboard

Athletes train to master all-mountain skills in off-piste environments. While the team supports athletes who compete in the Tahoe Junior Freeride Series + Freeride Tour events, competition is never required.

Minimum Requirements: Comfortably ski or ride any terrain at Sierra + the desire to spend time training in an off-piste environment.
